NB: Please forgive the changes of tense in this blog. Last trip we wrote entries almost every day. This trip, we are writing our first entry on Day 6, so tense may get a bit jumbled. We didn’t start till day 6 as we have had 5 full days of travel and touring, and then meeting friends in the evenings.

 

Finally we are on our way! House sitters (Karen and Graham) have the keys! Cars sorted! We have a rental Rav 4 and have left our XR6 with Paul’s son Jason.

 

Tonight we stay at the Mercure Airport Hotel at Wolli Creek near Sydney airport. When we arrive we realise they are renovating so after dropping the Rav 4 at the airport we get a taxi to the St George Rowing Club (across the road from our hotel) and relax until our friends, Peter and Michelle arrive to join us.
